You Can’t Make Me Like You Like That

Posted in: Poetry

I need someone badder she said
I could be someone better he said

You grin, give me a once-over
Grab my face and kiss me in the elevator

Let’s go on a date while we’re still shiny and new

Socks on our feet, killing ants
You can’t make me like you in my kitchen like that

I’ll live in your Chanel Bleu season
An angelic gypsy with grey blue eyes
Tuck this poem behind your ears
